    Abstract

We construct arbitrarily large subcubic expanders and deduce subcubic graphs of linear treewidth. The deterministic construction uses a fixed seed, zig-zag products, and path replacement. A uniform word-RAM algorithm outputs an NN-vertex member in O(N)O(N) time using O(log⁡(N+1))O(\log(N+1))-bit words. The fixed constants are enormous.
