Description

After scaling, sj=(n+1)sj+js_j = (n+1)s_j + j and dj=(n+1)dj+jd_j = (n+1)d_j + j, so two endpoints can coincide only if they belong to the same job — and a job's own two endpoints differ because its processing time is positive.
